Give yourself some piece of mind.

We can't be with our kids all the time.  We worry about the small, but real, chance that an accident or emergency occurs and our child is unable to communicate.  We want emergency workers and carers to know three things.  Our child is deaf.  Our child wears cochlear implants to communicate.  And our child cannot have MRI without precautions.

The hearinghenry Medical Alert Bands are made from hard wearing, high quality, high tensile silicone.  The bands are easy to wear, comfortable for kids and allow them to just get on with life.

I am going to be having Cochlear Implant surgery at the end of October (2019) and I am trying to be as prepared as possible because I know the time after surgery can be tough. Although I plan to get a "fancier" bracelet to alert EMTs, hospital personnel, and others that I cannot have an MRI without out much preparation due to the implanted magnet, this rubber one is just what I need for at home or in water. I love to wear these types of bracelets and feel very comfortable wearing them.

I bought a size small and a medium. I should have realized that, although my wrist is 5.9 inches around, a bracelet the exact same measurements would be tight. It fits but there is no wiggle room at all. The medium fits great with some room. Definitely be sure to measure your wrist before buying one of these and go up an inch or two so you get the right fit.

The print is bright and very obvious and the rubber is thick. This is one that can be worn in water unlike some metal ones. Bathing, showering, swimming, washing dishes, boating... there are a million uses for a bracelet like this if you have a CI. You never know when something may happen and you will be unable to tell someone that you have a a cochlear implant and that MRIs should be avoided if possible..

The price is reasonable and the quality is good. The lettering seems to be imprinted right into the bracelet so I think it will hold up. And for the price, replacing it when it does start to show signs of wear won't break the bank. It's simple but it could save me - or anyone with a CI - from having severe complications due to having an MRI without the proper precautions. I think this would be great for kids. It is so unlike traditional medical alert bracelets and so conformable to wear even to sleep. I plan to slip it on the day of my surgery. Let the journey begin!
